CAPPO SEAFOOD

Cappo Seafoods is an Adelaide-based third generation family company.

As the company approached its 100 years in operation, Corporate Conversation was engaged to assist in promoting the sale of its flagship property in the context of its future growth aspirations.

A public relations strategy was devised to communicate various key messages to target audiences including existing and future customers, potential purchasers, staff and suppliers.

In doing so, it was important to promote the rich heritage of Cappo Seafoods and its exciting growth outlook.

Cappo Seafoods can trace its history to the pioneers of the South Australian seafood processing industry.

The Cappo family were early Italian migrants, with a partnership of six brothers founding the business in 1919 at Port Pirie.

Cappo Seafood employs up to 50 staff during peak season across its retail operations and is experiencing significant growth locally as well as on global markets through its export partnership with Thomas Foods International.

Third generation brothers Damian and Matthew Cappo are co-directors of Cappo Seafoods, taking over running of the business from their father Maurice who is now retired.

Corporate Conversation took the time to understand the family’s unique story.

The subsequent PR campaign we developed and activated saw prominent exposure in South Australian media that met the family’s key objectives, generating positive feedback while highlighting the property sale.
